Priya Patel’s journey into garden and green-space design began over eight years ago in the most unexpected place: while crafting bespoke jewellery. What started as a curiosity for how plants grow and behave quickly became a lifeline when she lost her father. Planting, potting and nurturing living things became her way of staying connected to her “pappa”, who always believed plants were living beings with their own quiet wisdom. From that bond grew a rooftop oasis filled with more than 400 plants, followed by a transformed home garden complete with a Buddha corner and water feature. Every space she created became a step from grief to grounded strength, from zero to a life fuelled by purpose.
